Government and bank auctions are great places to scavenge for all sorts of eBay sellable merchandise at extremely low prices. The catch is, you just have to carefully inspect each and every item that you would like to take home since most, if not all, of these items are sold “as is”.
The four government agencies that you should check for auctions periodically are:
- US Customs - http://www.ustreas.gov/auctions/
- Department of Defense - http://www.govliquidation.com/
- General Services Administration - http://www.gsa.gov/Portal/gsa/ep/contentView.do?contentType=GSA_BASIC&contentId=9881
- US Postal service - http://www.usps.com/auctions/
Foreclosed merchandise can be auctioned from any local bank, liquidation or surplus dealers. These are surefire avenues to get bargains for goods that you want to resell on eBay.
A great online liquidation site can be found here: http://www.liquidation.com/about/
