35.Undoing booboos in your auctions

Nobody is perfect – not even pioneer eBay power sellers. In fact, with the numerous eBay auction interface areas, it's just a matter of time before you make a mistake, your next auction booboo is just a matter of time.

So, how do you undue your mistakes? It depends on the situation. If nobody has placed a bid on your auction yet, you can just simply click on “revise auction” underneath your eBay username. If someone or some people were quick enough to make a bid on it already, you will have to cancel the bids first and then cancel your auction and make another one.

The next logical thing to do would be to TRY and get a credit from eBay for the listing that you have cancelled. You can do this by going to “My eBay Page” then “My Account”, there should be a link for you to click and email eBay and tell them what has happened. It is best practice to take note of the old and new auction # to support your claim.

Lastly, take note that you MAY or MAY NOT get a credit for this but it is worth a try.
