People do not go to eBay to read novels so keep your descriptions brief and precise BUT the tricky part is to make it catchy. One of the best ways to do this is to make sure your paragraphs are not too long (around 4 lines should be the maximum). Highlight important words by making them bold or underlined – italicizing does not really get the message across anymore.
The quality of your description is where your marketing copy skills come into play. Make the best use of attention grabbing words that are active instead of passive. Put your product in the best possible light by showcasing its benefits against its cons. Lastly, do not forget to use persuasive words to actually turn your page viewers into bidders. Some of these words include, “you, save, new, love, etc.”
